The Belly Dance 10

And just what is "The Belly Dance 10?" you may be wondering. Well, some fitness and yoga gurus believe that 10 minutes of exercise or yoga a day is better than nothing at all.

Now that the busy holiday season is upon us it can sometimes be difficult to find the time to exercise, practice yoga, or belly dance so I decided to apply the concept of 10 minutes of exercise or yoga to belly dance just to be sure that I get in a little bit of dance time each day.

One example of a Belly Dance 10 schedule would be:
4 minutes of a specific shimmy: weeble-wobbles, knee, hip, Egyptian
3 minutes practicing a move that you're not good at or don't particularly like
2 minutes practicing a favorite move or one that you are good at doing
1 minute stretching such as a standing forward bend or down dog

There! 10 minutes of belly dance practice. If you can fit one session a day in that's great; 2 or more is even better.

Mix it up! Match it up! Make it work for you!
